A few facts about this image. God and Adam (of course [I have little care for dogma, though I do have a strong faith]) are images from Michel Angelo. I pushed pixels and mixed layers to bring out detail. The center of the eye where they touch is our own Milkyway. The Milkyway is a composite of near infrared and natural light images I obtained from APOD (nasa's astronomy picture of the day, a great sight to learn about the cosmos and astrophysics). The surrounding skulls were obtained via the web from the genocide of an african culture *sheds tears*. Just beyond the rim of the iris as well as the surrounding white is the mangled and wrecked souls of my jewish folk (WWII). At the inside edge of the iris are the clouds of the eagle nebula (also attained from APOD), it is one of the most beautiful nebulas I've ever seen.

I can not tell you the pain I felt while making this. I am of jewish decent and as I sought images of the holocaust I was burdened with pain. To most I am just another white face, but my people have suffered genocide. I am fortunate to be here.

You can not have creation without destruction.
